D&I Credit for

Persons with a Disability

Professional certification that works around your life, not against it.

The IMPACT Training Program is a fully online, self-paced certification program. There are no physical attendance requirements, no commutes, and no environments that require accommodation requests. For many persons with disabilities in Kenya, that structure alone changes what is possible. The D&I Credit for Persons with a Disability exists because we believe the financial barrier should not stand in the way of that access.

Remote Work and Disability in Kenya

The growth of remote and digital work in Kenya has been one of the most significant accessibility shifts in the country's professional landscape over the last five years. For Kenyan professionals with physical, sensory, or other disabilities, the ability to work from home removes barriers that the formal office-based economy has historically failed to address.

Virtual assistance is among the most accessible high-skill digital careers available. The work is done remotely, on a schedule negotiated with clients, using tools that are broadly compatible with assistive technologies. The IMPACT Training Program's online LMS is designed for accessibility and our team is available to discuss specific accommodation needs with any enrolled student.

The Ksh 2,000 D&I Credit for Persons with a Disability is our acknowledgment that access to quality professional training should not be determined by disability status. If you have the commitment and the time, we have the program.

| FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will I be asked to disclose my disability to other students or instructors?

A: No. Your self-declaration is used only to apply your D&I Credit and is held confidentially within your contact record. It is not shared with cohort members or used in any public-facing communication.

Q: Does IMPACT offer accessibility accommodations within the program?

A: Yes. If you require specific accommodations within the LMS or for your practical assignments, please discuss this with your Enrollment Advisor during your registration call. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Q: Does the program have video or camera requirements?

A: Some assignments include video responses to help you build confidence communicating on camera. These are completed on your own schedule, not in front of a live audience. If you have a specific accessibility need related to video assignments, discuss this with your Enrollment Advisor and we will work with you on an appropriate accommodation.

Q: Are live sessions required?

A: Live sessions are not mandatory but are strongly recommended. Students who attend and participate in live sessions receive extra credit. All sessions are recorded and available on demand within your cohort window if you cannot attend live.

Q: What assistive technology is compatible with the IMPACT LMS?

A: The IMPACT LMS is built on a standard web platform and is broadly compatible with screen readers, keyboard navigation, and other common assistive technologies. If you use specific assistive tools and want to confirm compatibility before enrolling, contact us at [email protected].

Q: Can I stack the Persons with a Disability credit with other D&I categories?

A: Yes. D&I Credits stack across multiple qualifying categories up to a maximum total of Ksh 5,000. For example, if you are also a returning professional, your combined credit would be Ksh 4,000.

Q: Is the self-declaration verified or audited at any point?

A: The self-declaration is taken in good faith. No documentation is required or requested at any stage. The IMPACT Training Program reserves the right to verify eligibility in cases of suspected misuse, but this is not standard practice.

Q: Je, programu iko wazi kwa watu wenye ulemavu wa kusikia?

A: Ndiyo.
