Still in university? You can start building your VA career before you graduate.

WHY TRAIN AS A VA WHILE YOU ARE STILL IN SCHOOL?

The VA skills you build at IMPACT, client management, systems operation, CRM tools, calendar management, and project coordination, are transferable to virtually any professional environment. Completing the IMPACT certification before you graduate means you enter the job market with both an academic credential and a demonstrated practical skill set.

Kazi ya mtandao, online work, is already a reality for thousands of Kenyan university students. The question is not whether you can do it. The question is whether you have the skills to do it at a level that pays well and builds toward something. That is what ITP trains you for.

Our program is structured around flexible self-paced learning with defined milestones. Students consistently report that the program's discipline mirrors and reinforces, rather than competes with, their academic workload.

| FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I join the program while preparing for final exams?

A: Yes. The program is self-paced within cohort milestones. You set your own daily study schedule. Many students have completed ITP modules during university exam periods.

Q: Do I need to be in a specific year of study?

A: No. The Active Student D&I Credit applies to any year of study, first year through postgraduate, as long as you are currently enrolled and attending.

Q: Ninaweza kujiunga na programu hii nikiwa bado mwanafunzi wa chuo kikuu?

A: Ndiyo. Programu ya IMPACT imeundwa kwa wanafunzi wanaofanya kazi na wanaosoma. Unaweza kuendelea na masomo yako ukifanya kazi kwenye moduli zetu za mtandaoni.

Q: Does IMPACT Training Program work around a university timetable?

A: Yes. The program has no fixed class times or live attendance requirements. All content is available on demand within your cohort window. You access lessons, complete assignments, and submit work on your own schedule as long as you meet cohort milestone deadlines.

Q: I am studying full time and working part time. Is this realistic for me?

A: Many ITP students manage university, part-time work, and the program simultaneously. The minimum time commitment is roughly 10 hours per week. Students who treat it like a part-time job rather than an extra course consistently complete on time.

Q: Will employers or clients care that I certified while still in school?

A: Most clients do not ask when you certified. They ask whether you can do the work. The IMPACT certification is competency-based, meaning you earn it by demonstrating real skills, not by sitting through lectures. That holds the same weight regardless of when you completed it.

Q: My university course has nothing to do with business or technology. Does that matter?

A: No. The program assumes no prior business or digital experience. The curriculum starts from the ground up. Students from arts, education, social sciences, and health backgrounds complete it at the same rate as those from business or technology backgrounds.

Q: Can I use my VA work as part of a university internship or attachment requirement?

A: This depends entirely on your institution's requirements. Some universities accept professional certification programs and freelance client work toward attachment hours. Check with your department. We are happy to provide documentation of your enrollment and completion if your institution requires it.

Q: Chuo changu kiko nje ya Nairobi. Je, bado ninaweza kujiunga?

A: Ndiyo.

Q: What happens to my D&I Credit if I defer my university enrolment?

A: Your D&I Credit is verified at the time of your IMPACT application. If you are enrolled at the time you apply and complete registration, the credit stands. Changes to your university enrolment status after registration is confirmed do not affect your credit.

Q: I am on attachment or industrial training, not in regular classes. Do I still qualify?

A: Yes. Students on attachment, industrial training, or work-integrated learning placements are still enrolled students. As long as your institution considers you an active student at the time of application, you qualify.
